1987年世界各地对记者的暴力事件增多据国际新闻编辑协会(IPI)和美国维护人权的团体弗里达姆豪斯去年的年终报告,在去年一年里,针对记者的暴力事件较前两年有大幅度的回升,去年被杀害的记者由前年的17名增至34名。弗里达姆豪斯就去年发生的对记者和新闻媒介的暴力和压制事件,做了如下统计(括弧内的是前年数字):
The increase in violence against journalists around the world in 1987 According to last year’s final report by Fridaum House, the International Association of News Editors (IPI) and U.S. human rights advocacy group, violence against journalists in the previous year was two years earlier than in the previous two years The number of journalists who were killed last year increased from 17 in the previous year to 34. For the violence and repression of journalists and the media that took place last year, Fridam House made the following statistics (figures in parentheses in previous years):
