临泉县人民医院位于鲖阳路109号(原300号),建院于1950年,是本区域最大的综合性医疗机构,全县的急救、康复、保健、医疗中心。1996年被卫生部命名为二级甲等医院;1997年被世界卫生组织、联合国儿童基金会、国家卫生部联合命名为爱婴医院。全院占地面积43000平方米,建筑面积60000平方米,医疗业务用房45000平方米。全院在职职工842人,招聘尚未入编人员260名。其中医疗技术人员830人,正高级技术职称3人,副高级技术职称18人,中级技术职称226人,离退休人员180人。医院编制病床350张,开放病床860张,实际使用病床经常在1000张左右。2009年县中医院被县人民医院托管,拥有750张床位的中医院新院预
