Objective To investigate the immunosuppressive effect of curcumin on skin graft rejection in mice. Methods BALB / c mice were used as donors and C57BL / 6 mice as recipients to establish a dorsal-dorsal skin graft model. The rats in sham operation group were divided into sham group, model group, curcumin (50 mg / kg) group, cyclosporine A (10 mg / kg) ) Group, each group of 10, once a day, ip administration of 10 d. The survival days of the transplanted skin grafts were recorded. The levels of interleukin-2 (IL-2) were measured by ELISA on the 4th and 8th postoperative day. Results The survival time of the transplanted skin grafts in curcumin group, cyclosporin A group and curcumin + cyclosporin A group was 14.77,16.81 and 19.96 days, respectively, which was significantly different from that in model group (P <0.01) ). The survival time of the transplanted skin graft of curcumin + cyclosporin A group was significantly longer than that of curcumin or cyclosporin A group (P <0.05, 0.01). Curcumin group, CsA group, curcumin + The level of IL-2 in the cyclosporin A group was 3.68,2.05 and 2.70 ng / m L on the 4th day after operation, which was significantly different from that in the model group (4.76 ng / m L) (P <0.05 and 0.01) Plasma IL-2 levels were 4.06, 2.11 and 2.95 ng / m L on the 8th postoperative day respectively in the cyclosporine A group, cyclosporin A group and curcumin + cyclosporin A group compared with the model group (5.85 ng / m L) The difference was significant (P <0.01). Conclusion Curcumin can inhibit the immune rejection in skin graft mice.
