广东省火炬农场近年来试种过两种食用菌:蘑菇和草菇。从食用菌实体生长期间对温度条件的需要看,蘑菇属低温型食用菌,最适生长温度为13--16℃;草菇属高温型食用菌,最适生长温度为22--32℃。火炬农场位于雷州半岛湛南地区,年平均温度在20℃以上,室外培植时适宜蘑菇生长的时间主要是1--2月份,低温持续时间短,总产量低,因此不适宜发展蘑菇生产,然而却适宜发展草菇生产。
