Iron capacity analysis generally EDTA titration and redox titration. In redox titration as early as 1941 J.O.Percival had proposed, copper powder as a reducing agent titration of potassium permanganate rapid measurement of iron, the subsequent further research has been lacking. Using copper powder as a reducing agent to measure iron requires tedious procedures of filtration. For example, to cancel the filtration step, the authors suggest adding 2 milliliters of mercury, but this will cause environmental pollution to the water system and the soil. In order to overcome the above shortcomings, we propose that potassium dichromate method using copper as reducing agent has the advantage of not using mercury salt, preventing pollution and simple
