Chilo suppressalis (Walker) is a kind of boring insects, which has the characteristics of miscellaneous eating, overwintering places and damage of the plant. The population of the population is rebounding in recent years, and the harm is increasing year by year. Chilo suppressalis has obvious selection behavior to the host. One of its main hosts, rice, has some new effects on the population occurrence of Chilo suppressalis (Chilo suppressalis) due to variety alternation, farming system change and climate change, Many new problems It is an important prerequisite for the effective control of the population of the rice stem borer, to study and understand the host selection rules of the stem borer (Chilo suppressalis) and its mechanism as well as the factors influencing its population dynamics. In this paper, we reviewed the host selection behavior and mechanism of the stem borer (Chilo suppressalis) and its influencing factors on the population growth and decline in rice so as to provide better guidance for the comprehensive control of Chilo suppressalis.
