四川地质局某地质队,最近在泸定二郎山一带普查时,根据对上复地层时代的推断,发現該区有震旦系地层存在。該系地层主要为燧石、流紋岩及相当于灯影灰岩之白云岩,厚达数千米,构成二郎山大背斜的核部。这一地层出露于泸定、天全、榮經等三县交界处。此一发現,对进一步研究这一地区的区域地质特征及大地結构等問題提供了新的資料。
A geological team of Sichuan Geological Bureau recently surveyed Erlang Mountain in Luding County. Based on the extrapolation of the epoch of the Upper Fushi Formation, it was found that the Sinian strata existed in this area. The strata are mainly chert, rhyolite and dolomite equivalent to the light shadow limestone, a few kilometers thick, constitute the core of the Erlangshan anticline. This stratum is exposed in Luding, Tianquan, Rongjing and other three counties at the junction. This finding provides new information for further studying the regional geological characteristics and the structure of the earth in this area.
