湖北省博物馆经过数十年的经营,现藏书画数千件。馆藏书法时代最早的敦煌经卷可到南北朝,绘画最早为南宋。馆藏主要以明清及近现代书画为主,涵盖了几乎主要书画流派。书画来源主要有两方面:一是单位转拨,如原武汉市文管会、原中南文化部、原中南土展部、文史馆等;二是社会捐赠,大宗的捐赠者有徐行可、晏石卿、杨先梅等。 Hubei Provincial Museum after decades of operation, is now holding thousands of pieces of calligraphy and painting. The earliest Dunhuang scriptures of the collection calligraphy era can be found in Northern and Southern Dynasties. The earliest painting was Southern Song Dynasty. Mainly in the collection of Ming and Qing Dynasties and modern calligraphy and painting, covering almost all major schools of calligraphy and painting. There are two main sources of calligraphy and painting: First, unit transfer, such as the original Wuhan City Cultural Management Association, the former Central South Culture Department, the former Central South Soil Exhibition Department, Museum of History and Culture; Second, social donations, bulk donors Xuhang Ke, Yan Shiqing , Yang Xianmei and so on.
