To celebrate the centenary of the famous linguist Mr. Zhou Youguang, the Ministry of Education and the State Languages Commission hosted “Celebrate Mr. Zhou Youguang’s Bainian Birthday Symposium” on January 10, 2005 in Beijing. The symposium was hosted by the Department of Linguistic Information Management and the Department of Linguistic Information Management of the Ministry of Education.
