Michael Green Architects (MGA) recently partnered with DVVD and REI Urban Development France to prepare the world’s tallest timber-framed building in France. The building, part of the Paris Creative Inventors’ Contest, was originally designed to appeal for a reduction of urban carbon emissions and to address the growing urban housing tensions. Michael Green, Chairman of Michael Green Architects (MGA), said, “Our goal is to create some of the most vibrant, interactive and unique buildings in Paris with creative and innovative design. Like Giffave Eiffel, a predecessor to the Eiffel Tower that was not understood 150 years ago, we are trying to lead a wave of architecture with wood as the main material, which is undoubtedly the perfect opportunity to embrace the new century in Paris! ”The 35-storey Baobab tower designed by MGA fully reflects the concern of the community.
