In the past four years, China’s economy accelerated its integration into the world economy and its foreign trade developed rapidly. China’s total import and export volume in the four years after its accession to the WTO more than doubled. In 2005, China’s total foreign trade reached 1.4 trillion U.S. dollars, surpassing Japan once again and continuing to become the third largest exporter in the world. Its rank in the world jumped from sixth in 2001 to third place. This is a remarkable achievement. But with great success
