当你使用电唱机放唱时,便会发现连接在音臂前端的拾音头上有一个比芝麻稍小的圆针,这就是唱针。唱针以小至几克的压力压在V型的唱片音槽槽壁上,并随着唱盘不断的运动,把记录在音槽上的信号通过唱针的振动传给拾音器上的换能元件(图1)。由此可见,在某种意义上,唱针与唱片的接触可以说是放唱过程中的第一步,唱针的好坏直接影响到放唱的效果。本文介绍的是唱针生产的一般常识。唱针与唱片的接触放唱,是一个相对运动的过程。接触点的摩擦不可避免地造成了两者的磨损,这种磨损由于空气中的灰尘以及放唱过程中产生的静电效应而更加严重。从理论上讲,唱针与唱片接近于点接触,因此尽管施加在唱针上的力是很小的,但是接触面上单位面积承受的压力却是很大的。这种压力和摩擦会在接触面上产生高热,使 When you use the record player to sing, you will find that the pickup connected to the front of the boom has a smaller needle than the sesame seed, which is the stylus.
