中国古代图书的产生,大约在文字产生之后的商代,图书的完备形态是简牍和帛书,古代因社会动乱故意大规模损毁图书的灾难曾多次发生,为吸引正反两方面经验教训而抢救、搜集、整理图书的举措也接连不断。这些史实对今天从事抢救、整理民族古籍的专业人员都有很多启示:一是有利于维护民族团结,增强中华民族的爱国主义思想感情;二是有利于保护民族文化遗产,弘扬中华民族优秀的传统文化;三是有利于各民族的文化交流和发展,促进民族间的经济文化共同繁荣;四是有利于拓宽学术研究的新视野。

These historical facts have many enlightenments for professionals who are engaged in rescue and reorganization of ancient books today: they are conducive to safeguarding national unity and strengthening the patriotic ideology and feelings of the Chinese nation; second are conducive to the protection of the national cultural heritage and the promotion of the fine traditions of the Chinese nation Culture; Third, it is conducive to the cultural exchanges and development of all ethnic groups and promotes the common prosperity of the economic and cultural interracial groups. Fourth, it is conducive to broadening the new horizon of academic research.
