自1979年在湘东钨矿召开的全国有色矿山机械化会议后,各有色金属重点产区省冶金局(厅)和矿山认真贯彻了会议精神,加强了对这一工作的领导,使矿山机械化推广工作,在调整中得到了巩固和提高。不少单位狠抓了掘进队的建设、工人的技术培训、设备的维护和保养、作业条件的改变,并积极开展了社会主义劳动竞赛,使这项工作取得了可喜的效果。1980年全国有色金属矿山机械化工作的主要特点是:
