Thomas Hardy is a prominent British critique of realism writers and poets. His early and mid-term creations were mainly novels, while his later years focused on the creation of poetry. Tess of Telford is the masterpiece of Thomas Hardy and one of the “Essex Series”. Described in this novel is a purely good girl Tess of the hypocritical social and hypocritical religion under the auspices of the final destruction of the story. The author uses his delicate writing and colorful creative skills to vividly demonstrate the tragedies that took place in a particular era. This paper analyzes the aesthetic features of this novel mainly by studying the main plot and thought in the novel.
