This article describes the performance of a dual redundant bus interface unit (BIU). Physical and electrical requirements. The BIU acts as a bus controller interface unit (RTU) between the Motorola 68000 VME bus and the MIL-8TD-1553B multiplex bus. The article discusses how to program a BIU hybrid circuit device. BCIU or RTU - how to operate; also dynamic bus control and other means of coding ability to comment. The BIU hybrid is connected to the 68000 microprocessor via a YME bus using programmable I / O conversion. This dedicated interface will be discussed along with the internal dual port access memory used (4K × 16). Dual-port access memory is used to support data exchange between CPU and BIU hybrid circuit devices. The article also refers to the actual size of hybrid circuit devices and power requirements.
