研究了激光二极管侧面泵浦Nd:YAG晶体的热效应。通过热传导方程,获得了Nd:YAG晶体内部的温度分布。分析了温度梯度和热应力对激光棒的影响,得到了在激光器运行时激光棒内的折射率分布。在谐振腔内,作为光学元件的激光晶体必然产生像差。计算了Nd:YAG晶体棒沿径向的光学路径差(OPD)用以量化像差。通过实例演示了此种方法如何指导激光器的优化设计。设计了一个非球面单透镜用以弥补棒状Nd:YAG晶体的热效应,并计算了该透镜的非球面面型曲率。
The thermal effects of side-pumped Nd: YAG laser diodes were investigated. The internal temperature distribution of Nd: YAG crystal was obtained by the heat conduction equation. The influence of temperature gradient and thermal stress on the laser rod is analyzed, and the refractive index distribution in the laser rod during laser operation is obtained. In the cavity, a laser crystal as an optical element inevitably generates aberrations. The radial optical path difference (OPD) of the Nd: YAG crystal rod was calculated to quantify the aberration. An example shows how this method can guide the laser design optimization. An aspheric single lens was designed to compensate for the thermal effect of the rod Nd: YAG crystal and the aspheric surface curvature of the lens was calculated.
