UNESCO believes that mankind faces two major problems: First, environmental issues. A major cause of environmental problems is the destruction of biological diversity. The disappearance of a large number of species causes the fracture of the biological chain, which in turn leads to the destruction of the entire ecological environment. Second, the disappearance of human language and culture diversity has caused the destruction of the language, culture and ecological environment. The direct impact caused by these two kinds of destruction is that the sustainable development of mankind can not be renewed. The creatures on Earth are diverse and present a rich and varied biodiversity. The distribution, affiliations and structure types of human languages all reflect linguistic diversity at different levels. Many minority languages in the world are on the verge of extinction. The conservation of biodiversity and linguistic diversity are just as important as the basis for sustainable development.
