任何社会的生产都有一定的目的,所谓生产目的即生产实质,通俗一点说就是“生产为了什么”或“生产服务于什么”。任何社会的生产都是为了满足人们的需要,这无可非议,但这仅仅是生产目的的一个方面即生产的最终目的。由于生产目的并非是人们主观意志的产物,而是由社会生产的客观经济条件,主要是由生产资料所有制以及劳动者同生产资料结合方式决定的,因而生产资料所有制性质不同,劳动力和生产资料结合的方式就不一样,社会生产的目的也就不同。这就道出了生产目的的另一方面即生产的直接目的。社会制度不同,所有制形式不同,从而导致生产直接目的的不同。
