杉肤小蠹Phloeosinus sinensis Schedle和罗汉肤小蠹P.perlatus Chapuis隶属于鞘翅目,小蠹科,海小蠹亚科,肤小蠹属,是我国南方杉木林中常见的蛀干害虫。两蠹常伴随发生,钻蛀林中杉株或代倒木干部,在皮层形成纵横坑道网,阻滞营养物质和水分的输送,使之零星或成片枯萎死亡。蔡帮华先生等曾简单描绘了两蠹的外形图及形态区别,并指出:“Blackman(1932)记载美国西部曾有过肤小蠹严重为害的事例,在我国正缺少详细观察……,这类小蠹对于杉木为害较普遍,成灾可能性很大”。笔者于1983—1985年在安徽
