The proper acid treatment of the enamel surface, which can bond well with the composite resin, has been proved by many researches and has been widely used in clinical practice. However, the repair of some dental diseases often involves the cervical part reaching the root surface even beyond the cervical margin. Clinically, we see the composite resin repair in the cervical margin, especially in the root surface leakage or loosening of the phenomenon was significantly more common in the enamel area. The purpose of this study is to understand the surface structure of the root surface of the dental crown, the changes after acid treatment and the bonding with the composite resin for clinical application of reference.
