我国现有水库8.6万座,其中四分之一的水库存在各种问题需待处理.其中绝大部分与渗流有关.因为大坝的质量问题大都最终表现在渗流的异常上.由于生产的迫切需要,自1973年开始,南科院参照国外经验着手研究了检测病险水库渗漏隐患的同位素示踪技术.并已成功地应用于许多水库渗流的检测.放射性同位素示踪法是近年来发展应用的一种检测地下水运动规律的方法.其基本原理是以少量放射性示踪剂标记被观测的地下水,根据测量其放射性变化来确定它的运动规律.
