为发展农村图书馆事业,满足广大农民对书刊资料、文献信息的需求,促进农村社会主义两个文明建设,辽宁省文化厅于1991年5月3日首批认定了97所乡、镇图书馆为省标准乡、镇图书馆(辽文办字[1991]105号)。1992年12月4日,省文化厅又批准了56所乡、镇图书馆(辽文办字[1992]211号)。至此,我省标乡、镇图书馆已达153所,占乡、镇图书馆(室)总数的14%。名单如下:
