英汉俗语是语言发展的精华,是将生活中富含哲理的思想以短小的语言进行表达,具有强烈的修辞色彩以及文化特色。本文通过对比英汉两种语言在俗语修辞审美观上的不同,从深层次地分析两国文化表达方式上的差异,比较和研究英汉谚语的起源、结构、形式和意义,指出其在文化上的差异,有助于我们更正确地理解和运用英语谚语,避免了跨文化交流障碍。
English and Chinese proverbs are the essence of language development. They express the philosophical thoughts in life in a short language and have strong rhetorical and cultural features. By comparing the difference between English and Chinese in proverb rhetoric, this paper analyzes the differences in cultural expression between the two countries from a deep level, compares and studies the origin, structure, form and meaning of English and Chinese proverbs, and points out its cultural Differences help us to understand and use English proverbs more correctly and avoid the barriers of intercultural communication.
