酒泉县位于河西走廊西段,北纬39°—40°、东经98°51′—99°30′之间;主要农区海拔1460—1760米;年平均气温7.1℃,≥3℃的活动积温3220—3350℃,无霜期110—150天。夏作收后还有两个多月的生长期,种一季有余,种双季不足。近几年复种小油菜成功,是解决这个问题的途径之一。由于它经济效果好,受群众欢迎,因而发展较快。1981年已种植9110亩,约占复种面积的24.5%,约收油菜子100万斤。
