厦门海沧大桥为国家“九五”重点工程建设项目,是连接厦门市(本岛)和国家级经济技术开发区——厦门海沧经济技术开发区(大陆)的重要通道,也是厦门市第二条进出口通道。建设该桥对厦门乃至闽东南地区的社会经济发展具有十分重要的作用。该桥设双向六车道,全长约5390米,其中大桥工程长度约3140米。由东航道桥,西航道桥,东、西引桥,东渡互通立交主线桥及东、西引道等分项工程组成,
Xiamen Haicang Bridge is a key construction project of the Ninth Five-Year Plan and is an important channel connecting Xiamen (the island) and the national economic and technological development zone - Haicang Economic and Technological Development Zone (the mainland) in Xiamen. It is also the second largest city in Xiamen Import and export channels. The construction of the bridge on Xiamen and even southeastern Fujian area socio-economic development has a very important role. The bridge is located two-way six lanes, a total length of about 5390 meters, of which the length of the bridge project about 3140 meters. The project is composed of East China Road bridge, West Channel bridge, east and west approach bridge, the main bridge of Dongdu interchange and the east and west approach roads.
