王毓铨同志是我国著名历史学家、明史专家。四十年来,他一直在中国社会科学院历史研究所担任研究员工作,长期从事于明史研究,卓有成效。他首先是详细占有材料,去伪存真,去粗存精,从零碎的史料中,清理出一定历史范围内的发展规律。他的功底深厚,态度谨严,有一个良好的学风。他所阅读的材料于基本材料之外,涉及到明人的文集、明代地方志、档案和各种杂著。我当时认为这样做,未免需要过长的时间,不宜在短期内见效果。但他坚持这样做,对小组内的青年同志也有类似的要求。事实证明,他的作法是正确的,对于进行认真的科学研究或教育青年都是有利的。
Comrade Wang Yuquan is a famous historian and expert of Ming and Ming Dynasties in our country. For forty years, he has been a researcher in the Institute of History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He has been engaged in the study of Ming history for a long time and has achieved fruitful results. He first of all details of the possession of materials, to pseudo-true, to coarse and fine, from the fragmentary historical data, clear out a certain history of the law of development. His deep foundation, cautious attitude, have a good style of study. He read the material outside of the basic materials, related to Ming anthologies, Ming Dynasty local history, archives and all kinds of miscellaneous. At that time, I thought it would take too long and should not be effective in the short term. However, he insisted on doing so and made similar requests to the young comrades in the group. Facts have proved that his practice is correct and that it will be beneficial for carrying out serious scientific research or educating young people.
