With regard to the hygienic standards for the presence of hazardous substances in the workplace air, the methods and definitions used in various countries are not consistent and several common expressions are now presented. 1. Maximum allowable concentration (Maximum Allowable Concentration), referred to as MAC. It refers to the workers at the workplace harmful substances in many long-term representative sampling, can not exceed the value. The concentration is based on exposure to harmful substances 8 hours a day, 6 days a week, and up to this concentration, long-term exposure by workers does not result in any pathological changes that can be detected by modern screening methods. China is currently using this standard, such as the provisions of the lead in the workshop MAC 0.03 mg / cubic meter.
