To meet the arrival of the knowledge-based economy, Xiamen Institute of Sci-Tech Information pays close attention to its own construction, adheres to the high-tech road, takes “developing information resources, and services technological innovation” as its own responsibility, and strives to establish functional socialization, structural networking, and service industrialization. The means of modernization of scientific and technological information, comprehensive means of service, speed up the construction and use of scientific and technological information resources. Since the official opening of the Wanfang Database of the China Institute for Science and Technology Information in April this year, the institute officially launched the Xiamen mirror site of the China Journal Net on September 15, 1999. The successful operation of the mirror point
