金羊启泰,彩凤鸣春。在春暖花开的日子里,具有中国特色的社会主义文化事业的大舞台繁花似锦,欣欣向荣。党的十六大会议提出用“三个代表”的重要思想统领社会主义文化建设,牢牢把握先进文化的前进方向,为开创社会主义文化建设的新局面吹响了进军号角。这是我们发展社会主义文化的首要前提,也是我们繁荣社会主义文化的根本保证。发展先进文化,就是发展面向现代化,面向世界,面向未来的,民族的科学的大众的社会主义文化。就是要坚持以科学的理论武装人,以正确的舆论引导人,以高尚的精神塑造人,以优秀的作品鼓舞人,努力创造更加光辉灿烂的先进文化。

The 16th National Congress of the CPC proposed that the important thinking of “three represents” should be used to lead the socialist cultural construction and to firmly grasp the advancing direction of advanced culture, sounded a march for opening up a new situation in the building of socialist culture. This is the first prerequisite for our development of socialist culture and the fundamental guarantee for our prosperity of socialist culture. To develop advanced culture means to develop a socialist scientific mass culture oriented toward modernization, the world and the future.
