上海外高桥保税区是中国成立最早、规划区域面积最大的保税区,自1990年9月开发建设以来,经济总量、工业产值、进出口总额及税收等经济指标一直在全国保税区中列首位。截至2003年4月,上海外高桥保税区累计批准投资项目6388个,吸引总投资79.3亿美元,500强企业中有85家落户区内。目前,上海外高桥保税区内投资企业共与世界上116个国家和地区建立了进出口贸易往来。
Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone is the earliest bonded zone in China with the largest planned area. Since its development and construction in September 1990, economic indicators such as total output value, industrial output value, total import and export volume and tax revenue have been among the top of the national free trade zones. As of April 2003, a total of 6388 investment projects were approved in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, attracting a total investment of 7.93 billion U.S. dollars and 85 of the top 500 enterprises were settled in the district. At present, the investment enterprises in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone have set up import and export trade exchanges with 116 countries and regions in the world.
