团十三大于5月3日至10日在北京隆重举行。此次大会的正式代表共1420人,其中团的专职干部1048人,女性代表381人,少数民族代表189人,大专以上文化程度的1085人,代表平均年龄30.6岁。他们代表着全国5680万团员,270万个团的基层组织。本次大会的主要任务是:以邓小平同志建设有中国特色社会主义的理论和党的基本路线为指针,深入贯彻党的十四大和八届人大一次会议精神,总结改革开放十五年来我国青年和共青团工作的基本经验,明确当代青年肩负的历史重任,确定新的历史发展阶段我国青年和共青团的任务。
