大量工作实践证明,地震是构造带活动的直接表现,一定地区地震活动的水平,与该区构造活动的程度有密切关系。然而,漫长的地史资料表明,在地域辽阔而且构造形象十分复杂的中国大陆,构造活动强烈地区的分布是随时间变化的。因此,研究构造活动强度及其分区,掌握这种随时间变化的规律,并着重研究构造活动的特征及其发展趋势,找出近期构造活动较强的地区,是地震预报研究工作的重要内容,它对于相应地区地震形势的估计,有重要意义。
A great deal of work has proved that the earthquake is a direct manifestation of tectonic activity. The level of seismic activity in a certain area is closely related to the tectonic activity in this area. However, the long historical records show that the distribution of strong tectonic activities in China is changing over time in mainland China, which has a vast territory and a very complex structure. Therefore, it is an important content of earthquake prediction research to study the tectonic activity intensity and its zoning, to master this law changing with time, and to focus on the tectonic activity characteristics and its development trend and identify the areas with strong tectonic activity recently. It is of great significance for the estimation of the earthquake situation in the corresponding area.
