台湾自古以来是中国领土,不仅中国历代政府在台湾设有行政机构,行驶管辖权,而且两岸民族同源,占台湾人口98％的汉族来自祖国大陆,2％的高山族也主要来自大陆的古越人。中华儿女不仅共同继承和发扬了中华民族文化的优秀传统,共同开发了台湾的经济,而且长期同遭屈辱,共同进行反侵略、反分裂斗争,这是加强民族认同,加快祖国统一步伐的精神纽带和重要基础。
Taiwan has been the territory of China since ancient times.
