“Sadness will last forever.” This is the last sentence of Van Gogh’s life. For many years, people admired works created by geniuses like Van Gogh, painting or poetry, and we appreciated them not only for the beauty of the world brought by their extraordinary talents, but also for the proportions they bear We have much more sadness and pain. The depression of these geniuses adds a sad and mysterious color to their talents. Whether it was to kill his own tough guy Hemingway, or Nietzsche, who stood on the summit and was ultimately insane, or a long-time resident here, he declared Keats of the water book. The artist seems to have become synonymous with depression. Although today, the condition is a bit abused, we still can not help but ask: what does depression bring to the geniuses? Did genius become genius because of depression or is genius destined to be better than ordinary people? Some sad?
