MadeinCanada或者FabriqueauCanada,翻译成中文后都是“加拿大制造”。但在加拿大的两种官方语言英语和法语里,却是两种语法相似、但在文化和政治意义上迥然不同的说法。而这两种地位并列的官方语言,正是加拿大现在面临的文化身份困境的一个隐喻;
MadeinCanada or FabriqueauCanada, translated into Chinese are “Made in Canada.” But in two of Canada’s official languages, English and French, there are two very similar grammatical but culturally and politically different terms. The juxtaposition of these two official languages is a metaphor of the cultural identity dilemma now facing Canada.
