According to statistics from China Customs, from January to September, steel imports were 18.97 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 47.4%. As of October 9th, the number of imported steel products with 43 tariff lines under the temporary safeguard measures has reached the total amount of tariff quotas for such products, and an additional special import tariff of 7% to 26% has been imposed.
