本文从功能文本性质入手,以一定的翻译方法与原则为基础,对城市宣传语英译展开研究。笔者认为作为功能性文本,最重要的则是文本应该具有较强的“呼唤性”功能,而且译入语(target language)也必须符合译入语的表达习惯。结合现存的宣传语翻译实例,笔者结合功能性文化本特点和翻译原则阐述了城市宣传语的翻译方法。
Starting with the nature of functional texts, this paper starts with the study of English translation of urban propaganda texts based on certain methods and principles of translation. The author thinks that as the functional text, the most important thing is that the text should have strong “calling” function, and the target language must conform to the expression habit of the translated language. Combined with the existing example of the translation of the propaganda language, the author expounds the translation method of the urban propaganda language by combining the characteristics of the functional culture and the principles of translation.
