Cities, prefectures and counties: According to the instructions of the Central Government, the work of collecting and arranging modern folk songs has now been carried out all over the country. With the development of industry, agriculture and various political campaigns, this kind of creation from the private sector has long been widely circulated in many cities and rural areas in our province and has been booming since the great leap forward in industrial and agricultural production. Many folk songs and ballads vividly reflected the majestic spirit of working people in building socialism and demonstrated the new upsurge of mobilizing the masses for their socialist consciousness. A large number of good folk songs and ballads not only correctly reflect the real conditions of our people’s life, struggle and production, but also give impetus to the development of our new poetry and the encouragement and education of the people.
