民主党派参政议政不仅是对民主党派成员中担任各级领导干部、人大代表、政协委员以及专家学者成员、高龄老成员的要求,而且是对全体民主党派成员的要求。只有众多党派成员尤其是青年成员参政议政水平提高了,那么.党派参政议政的整体水平才会提升。民进江阴市委教育联合支部成立只有6年时间,大多数会员都很年轻,40岁以下的占70%,都具有中级以上职称。鉴于以上的认识,他们一直抓紧青年会员参政议政的工作,潜心钻研实践,努力探索新路。
