假如我们要避免根据我们自身的经验与我们自身的主观看法判断一切美术陷阱,我们就必须了解创造某一作品的那个背景;美术家生活工作在什么样的历史与社会的条件里,谁是他的赞助人以及这些赞助人对趣味与风格有什么影响,什么样的哲学观点影响了美术家(以及其他一切人)观察世界的方法。同时,我们还必须了解美术家实践经验、他受的训练、他的艺术观、他运用的技法与材料,只有这样之后我们才能充分地欣赏他的风格或他对题材的选择。
If we want to avoid judging all the art traps based on our own experience and our own subjective opinions, we must understand the background of creating a certain work.
