迎庆桃系一种产量高、果形大(单果重200g以上),色泽鲜艳透红、果肉白色质软、纤维中等、汁多味甜而幽香、品质特优的生食果桃新品种,8月中下旬成熟,正值水果淡季,倍受消费者青睐.由于它树势强健,树冠较大,以中短果枝结果为主,长果枝花芽着生于中部,花芽多,结实率高,因此经济效益可观.浙江省丽水市联城镇下林村,1991年在荒山引种迎庆桃,1997年早桃和桃苗收入达40余万元,人均1万元,成为全市首富村.其中赖祖祥1991年栽种的6亩迎庆桃1997年产桃10150kg,收入达5.5万元.
