“绿色奥运、人文奥运、科技奥运”是北京成功申办2008年奥运会的三大主题,这三大主题以其浓厚的自然、人文、科技底蕴,无处不在地宣扬了拥有5000年灿烂文化的中国可持续发展的脉搏。“绿色奥运、人文奥运、科技奥运”既是2008年奥运会的奋斗目标,也全面反映了北京市城市未来发展的基本理念,因此,在其征服国际奥运会全体委员会的同时,也征服了世界各国爱好运动、爱好和平的人们的心。“绿色奥运”是三大主题的基点,它淋漓尽致地体现了环境与人类生存间的和谐统一,不仅反映了城市面貌、具体设施的形象,更成为一种原则、一种理念贯穿于奥运会筹备、开展的全过程。我们认为,系统考虑“绿色奥运”应体现出绿色生态、绿色文化、绿色交通、绿色行政几层含义。 The “Green Olympics, Humanistic Olympics and Scientific Olympics” are the three major themes that Beijing has successfully bid for hosting the 2008 Olympic Games.
