美国经济自1958年5月渡过上次危机最低点后,除去年7至11月因钢铁业大罢工外,生产都曾有些增长,今年1月工业生产指数达到111最高峰(1957年=100),2月份起开始下降。2月至7月工业生产在109—110之间盘旋,下降幅度还比较小。8月份起工业生产连续下跌。10月份生产指数是107,比1月份已下降3.6%。农业和建筑业同时减产,出口贸易和国内市场都出现萎缩现象,失业人数大大增加,黄金大量外流,从整个情况来看,一次新的经济危机已经爆发。兹将最近美国经济情况的重大变化说明如下:工业生产下降今年头十个月,美国工业生产总指数的变化情况如下:
