甘肃省农科院经济作物研究所选育成功绿色棉新品系 UG—01,于1997年9月16日在敦煌市进行了现场技术鉴定。“UG—01”填补国内彩色棉研究中绿色棉育种的一项空白。“UG—01”是从国外引进的彩色棉品系“738”中经单株系选,在敦煌和海南交替繁育,经3年5代系统选育而成,其性状稳定,整齐一致。该品系全生育期114天。株高60厘米左右,叶色深绿,植株日光红明显,纤维淡绿,2.5%跨长26.3毫米,比强度17.69/tex,麦克隆值3.1～
