In the process of learning English, learners will be in a situation of stagnation and inability to progress. This phenomenon is the “fossilization” phenomenon defined by the linguist Selinker. Fossilization is an inevitable phenomenon in the process of second language acquisition. It is particularly prominent in writing learning. Domestic and foreign scholars have conducted a lot of empirical research on language ossification and found that the acquisition of English writing is inextricably linked to our mother tongue, Chinese. This paper analyzes the issues that arise in the English writing process and the relevance of Chinese language, and proposes a feasible plan to avoid petrochemicals.
