Multilingualism is widespread in the world and China is no exception. China is a country with the most ethnic, linguistic and cultural diversity. Multilingual education is guaranteed by the Constitution in China and has been implemented to varying degrees at all levels and by various educational institutions. Educational practices around the world have proved that the implementation of multilingual education is conducive to improving the quality of the population of all ethnic groups and promoting the all-round development of the country’s society and economy as well as helping to maintain the prosperity and stability of the country.
