Objective To observe the effect of maternal high fat and high sugar diet on atherosclerosis in offspring during pregnancy. Methods Twenty female rats were divided into the normal diet group (P group) and the high fat diet group (G group). Two kinds of feed were fed during the pregnancy. The male offspring of the G group were divided into high fat and high glucose group (GG group) and Normal group (GP group), male offspring of P group were still fed the normal diet (PP group), the offspring rats at the end of the 12th week were tested for serum level of oxidized low density lipoprotein (OX-LDL), total triglyceride (TC), high density lipoprotein-C (HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein-C (LDL-C) were measured. HE staining was used to observe the lipid levels in the aorta Deposition conditions. Results ① The levels of serum OX-LDL, TC and LDL-C in adult offspring were significantly higher in progeny high-nutrition group (PG, GG group) than those in offspring normal group (PP group) (P <0.01) Nutritional offspring of high nutrition group (GG) than the mother of high nutrition offspring normal group (GP) was significantly higher (P <0.05). ② Serum TG and HDL-C concentrations were not significantly different in all groups (P <0.05) .③The incidence of high-fat offspring aseptyma during pregnancy was highest in GG group, followed by GP group and lowest in PP group. Conclusion The serum levels of TG and HDL- High nutritional diet during pregnancy on the offspring of atherosclerosis has an important impact on the growth of offspring in the general diet is conducive to delay or prevent the occurrence of atherosclerosis.
