据韩国《朝鲜日报》8月20日报道,尽管伦敦奥运会已经结束,但是一些来自非洲国家的运动员并没有回到自己的祖国。15名来自喀麦隆、厄立特里亚、刚果和苏丹等国的运动员选择“叛逃”脱队,打算留在英国进行避难申请,这其中包括厄立特里亚的奥运会开幕式旗手。报道称,伦敦奥运会举办期间,喀麦隆7名运动员在没有做任何解释的情况下神秘失踪。据喀麦隆代表团透露,这些叛逃的运动员是为了脱离本国恶劣的生活环境,到国外寻求机会。随后,媒体又报出4名来自刚果民主共和国的运动员无故消失。近日,被选为开幕式国旗手的厄立特里亚运动员韦恩·吉布莱斯拉斯(Weynay Ghebresilasie)和其他三名队友向英国政府寻求政治庇护。
According to South Korea’s “Korea Daily” reported on August 20, although the London Olympics have ended, but some athletes from African countries did not return to their homeland. Fifteen athletes from Cameroon, Eritrea, the Congo and Sudan have chosen to “defend” their team and intend to stay in the UK for asylum applications, including the flag bearer of the Olympic Games in Eritrea.
