Since the 12th Five-Year Plan Period, China’s macroeconomy has entered a crucial historical period of industrial restructuring and economic restructuring. The demand for high-quality skilled personnel from social enterprises and institutions has been on the rise. However, to some extent, the school-running structure of higher vocational colleges has failed to fully meet the urgent needs of such talents for the macro-economic development in our country. Higher vocational and technical circles need to re-examine the basic characteristics and outstanding problems in the structure of higher vocational education and put forward feasible suggestions in light of the characteristics of macroeconomic development in the new era
